How to Cook Vietnamese Grilled Beef Rolls – Asian BBQ Series

This is the first in my series of Asian Barbeque Recipes developed for the Ziggy barbeque, just in time for our upcoming Australian summer. Read below on how you can win one of two 2-burner Ziggy sets courtesy of Ziegler and Brown 🙂

Vietnamese-Style Grilled Beef Rolls

(Recipe adapted from Luke Nguyen’s INDOCHINE)

INGREDIENTS:

(A)

10 thin slices of beef, 2 x 3 ¼-inch each
1 Tbsp soya sauce
1 Tbsp fish sauce
2 tsps sesame oil
4 Tbsps garlic minced
2 Tbsps sugar
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

(B)
10 pcs carrots cut into matchsticks
10 pcs radish cut into matchsticks
10 spring onions, white part only

1 Tbsp veg oil
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
Light soya sauce and sliced chillies dip

METHOD:

  1. Combine (A) and set aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Place beef slice on cutting board. Place 1 piece each carrot, radish and spring onion in the middle, and roll up.
  3. Repeat with remaining slices.
  4. Brush with oil, then grill for 6 minutes total.
  5. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, then serve with soy and chilli dip.
