Fried Fish Balls or Seafood/Meat Balls Recipe
INGREDIENTS:
- 500g fish fillets (eg. Basa)
- 250g chicken mince
- 1 onion, peeled and quartered
- 2-3 Tbsp tapioca flour
- 1 Tbsp Knorr chicken powder
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp white pepper
- Oil for deep-frying
METHOD:
- Combine fish fillets, chicken mince and onion in a food processor. Blend to a smooth paste.
- Add all other seasoning ingredients and mix well. (In my video I added some fried shallots but I wouldn’t suggest doing so if you’re deep-frying the fish balls as they may overcook.)
- Heat up oil to 180°C; drop spoonfuls of mixture into oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes, making sure to gently flip them with a wooden spoon to make sure they cook evenly.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve with noodles or as finger food with a sweet chilli dip.
