How to Make Kaya (Thermocook)
This recipe will work in a Thermocook or a Thermomix using the same settings. (ps. you might know by now my recipes are based on my culinary philosophy of “agak-agak” or “guesstimating”, so adapt as you see fit with similar kitchen appliances). Kaya Recipe (using Thermocook)
INGREDIENTS:
- 30ml pandan juice
- 250g sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 200ml coconut cream
METHOD:
- 6 pandan leaves + 100ml water – Blend at Speed 10 for 5 seconds. Strain.
- 30ml pandan juice + sugar + eggs + coconut cream – Blend at Speed 8 for 5 seconds.
- Set Thermocook at 90°C for 40 mins at Speed 3, Heat Intensity 8.
- Purée kaya at Speed 10 for 5 seconds to obtain smooth texture.
